The Sixers Media Guides

The Philadelphia 76ers Media Guides and Statistical Yearbooks contain a wild array of obscure NBA stats that aren’t easily found through other sources. The lore behind these books and the guy who put them together is pretty cool.

The books aren’t easy to find. Some of the older ones can get expensive. Over time, it will probably just get harder to find these in their original form. So, here are some digital copies.

1970-1971 sixers media guide
1970-1971
1978-1979 sixers media guide
1978-1979

The older one is hosted through this site. I think it’s more readable. The 1978 issue is on archive.org which might make it more accessible, but I don’t like the reader as much. I guess you could just download it and use whatever reader you want. Not sure what makes more sense. Open to suggestions.

If you have some of these and you want help digitizing them, let me know.
